Do I need a new referral from my medical provider?

If you are new to Passages PT, a referral can be faxed to (434) 979-0747 and we can receive it electronically. You may also choose to start PT through Direct Access. You can email us at if you have any question.

If I am a current patient at Passages PT, how can I schedule an appointment for a virtual session?

If you have ever been seen at Passages PT, you are automatically registered in our Client Portal.  You are also welcome to email or call us and leave a voice mail, with good times to reach you.

After I schedule, what happens next?

You will be sent emails through our secure EMR electronic medical record host, “”. One will contain a link to our telehealth platform, called “”.  There will be several intake forms through the link inside that email.

An appointment reminder email will come within 48 hours of your scheduled session. The email contains a link to connect to the DOXY. Follow all of the steps to test your camera and audio for every session, even if you already participate in other virtual calls. Laptops, computers and tablets are easiest, with larger screens. Smartphones that have cameras for calls will also work.

*Please test your connections for shortly after you receive your email link for the appointment. That gives you time to adjust your settings and avoid last minute frustrations.  Here is a link for how to test your device:
